Sometimes, life can be really tough. We feel demotivated, stressed and not feeling to do anything. It’s a natural feeling to feel demotivated especially during difficult times. Sustaining motivation can be tough even under the best circumstances. - Always have a vision board, a goals-list, and a notebook. I find these 3 things extremely helpful when I am unwell and not feeling like doing anything. They actually help me re-center myself and see the bigger picture. Always go back to your vision board, list of goals and refresh your mind as to why you’re here: your purpose and mission in life.
- Stop comparing yourself to others. This is the worst thing you can do to yourself. It will only bring you negativity and bad energy. Instead, focus on you and your loved ones. Remember that you are loved and needed by the most important people in your life. They love you just like you are. And spending hours scrolling photos on Instagram will not help you get closer to your dreams.
- Do something different. Whether it’s going to new places. Meeting new people or treating yourself to some new experience. You will find that by doing that you will see that there’s still so much to be discovered and explored. Your demotivation can actually be a hindrance to your growth. Changing environments and routines will bring some freshness to your life and shake you somehow.
Remember it’s okay to be demotivated sometimes but every hour you spend losing motivation is a lost hour where you could have done more work, smiled more, served more people and gotten closer to achieving your goals and enjoying life more. These are hours you will never get back.
Let me down below how you motivate yourself when you’re not feeling like doing anything.
