September has started for me with quite interesting changes. First it was the office move then the home move. Yeah that's a lot for someone staying in the same city. People ask me what drove this big change.
Well I have two answers: 1) Sometimes everything works out so well that the change makes sense and things fall into place naturally 2) Change is good. It can be a good decision if you're not getting the results you're expecting where you're at.
Speaking of the second point, if you remember my last post, I had described how I lived walking to the office (Sorry that was in French only) and how painful that was too me and how it affected my mood. In my new neighborhood, fortunately, I am confronted with a lot less than that. I can finally walk like a normal human being and can even enjoy going to a small park and sit there without being approached or insulted. Strangely, I feel much better. I am not sure if it's the placebo effect but whatever it is, I am better now and my family is too.
Change can be scary because we all like being in the confort zone. Changing habits, friends, neighbors, concierge, shops can be annoying but when the alarm goes off, you have to listen and go for the new things. They might not be better but it's definitely a new experience calling you.
Go for it.
