Train your mind to make you feel good

I was recently having a conversation with a friend who was complaining about how she doesn't have any help at home and that she hated all that house chores from cooking to cleaning etc. She spoke about the subject passionately and I could feel how she felt about it all. She also explained that she couldn't find anyone to give her a hand and that the potential candidates didn't want to work during summertime.
Basically what I understood is that she's stuck. I could almost recommend her moving to a hotel room and being taken care of but I knew that wasn't an option.

This made think about a good piece of advice that I heard in one of the audiobooks. Wayne Dyer said: 'If you're not doing what you love and loving what you do, you have 2 choices to make: 1) change what you're doing or 2) change how you feel about what you're doing.

I believe that the second option is extremely powerful. While there's so much vibe about 'leaving your job and doing what you love etc', changing how you feel about something you don't enjoy is just as powerful. It can actually save up so much bad energy and negative feelings. It can make you from do something you hate to do something you quite enjoy, it can help you make your day go smoother and happier...it can be a secret ingredient to life happiness. Because let's face it, we don't always do what we love and this can definitely help us get going with a smile on our faces.

I am not very much familiar with NLP but I suppose that's what it is: programming your mind to love something that has previously programmed in your mind with words such as 'I hate', 'I don't like' etc. I guess it works just like a PC. You program it with the wrong software. You overwrite the software and install a new one.

At the end of the day, all the beliefs we hold about anything have been a thorough programming of the mind. Changing your thoughts and directing them to what you want can not only be a fun exercise but also can help with living life with less hard times and less conflicts with one's self.

Have you ever 'programmed' your brain?
